Sorry guys; I've had my computer + my girlfriend's computer down for the past 4 days. Both of our computers had some nasty viruses and junk despite my best efforts to keep them clean. Her's has been fixed, but mine had to be reformatted so I lost everything before I could back any of it up. Crying or Very sad
In a nutshell, I'm going to be spending this evening and tomorrow reinstalling mercs.

I'll be up by tomorrow afternoon hopefully; I want to be there when Season 8 starts. Very Happy

Sorry I haven't had a chance to test the 1000% splash damage yet and comment on it. Judging from the comments that Wonko had to make on the Mektek Forum, it may not be a fun thing for BA's to have to deal with, however. Sad

Actually. it's funner for BA. Usually you die when you're splashed, sometimes you get stripped. Now it's just you die. Much better.

Would have made it but was busy running errands. Dunno if I'll make it on tomorrow evening much, either, as it's mom's birthday and we're gonna all go out and see "True Grit" with any luck.

will prolly have to reboot server to 12 players later on to stream Netflix - wife is off today. If it happens will be around 10E/7P. Should be back to normal tomorrow and most of the weekend.

I'm experimenting with more role-play type theme sentences. Today, in the Mechwarrior theme I've added the following:

"%1s leg blown clean off./nFor a moment it remains motionless/nbalanced on the remaining leg./nThen slowly picking up momentum/n%1s mech topples over crashing to the ground./nA moment later the reactor goes critical/ntaking out a city block"

This falls under Disconnect and the percentages for Disconnect messages is about the same. I think this really adds to the atmosphere, but at the same time, it takes up a lot of chat lines (7-Cool. Since it's only upon Disconnect and there is only about a 6% chance this particular message will come up, I don't think it will be a big deal. If I get enough positive feedback I will add 1 of these to each theme.

I think I figured out how to get the bots to turn off when there are 8 players in the server but still keep the bots even on 2 teams. There are 2 options to include bots in dedicated servers: 1) to use the selections in the Mercenaries Dedicated Server screen which results in bots sometimes appearing all on 1 team or stacked bot teams but allows you to turn off bots when a certain # of players is reached in the server, or 2) place them in the .nfm files for each map, which allows you to keep bots even on teams, but prevents you from shutting off bots when a certain # of players are in the server (except when full it will drop one bot when waiting in lobby).

This fix, hopefully, gives the best of both worlds - keeps bots even on teams AND turns them off when reach 8 players. (ull noticed while in the server it will say Maximum Players 9, but in the server list and Mekmatch it will say 22 players and the server will allows 22 players even though it says 9 in the lobby).

*Updated Mechanic
*Updated -occupation command in server to include Assassin (As)
*Updated 5 of the common Themes to mention Splash Damage 1500% in random chat messages
*Updated Occupations with 2 webpages (About section) to show Page 2 when on second page on website
*Added -trainer, -tyrant, -bookie and -patron to 5 most common Themes although they are not active yet (Season 9)

Theme Park is running .0028!! and, yes, .0028 is available for download Smile

Today, server is running Full Fog of War (will not display any information about mechs chosen in lobby). However, I ran into a problem with this concerning the Ranking System. It does not display tonnage information in chat (displays 0 tons) so I would not be able to see that info for things like -surveyor, salvage ops, ba bonus etc. I'm looking at a workaround, but I may (prolly) have to set server back to normal (displays mech chosen). Please be aware that if today you use a Special or Inherent Occupational ability that requires the display of tonnage it will not count.

Splash turned down to 500% from 1500%.

Adding Coliseum and Manorhouse for the extended draw distance

I wasn't able to figure out a way to have both tonnage displayed and Partial or Full fog of war so server will show mech chosen...

EDIT: I may not get to the rankings today from yesterday. Worked on server this morning and wife is off. Besides that, the tonnage thing made things wierd yesterday. I will try though...

EDIT#2: Finished rankings, only 3 players had anything to record

Mechanics have been changed effective immediately. Mechanics can place up to 3 1000 bets on bots, normal betting rules apply. Can still make 5 bets/day on players...

Coolant, any way you could maybe add somewhere on the Rankings page all of the most current 'No Rank Point Maps?' This would help new players and even some of the older players.

Edit: Ok, I just checked the other thread that has your new list of Rank and non rank point maps; I just thought it would be a good idea to have the list somewhere where new and old players alike could check it, especially since you do change it from time to time. Not sure if any of the newer players know to check this website, also.
