Joker was given an upgrade so if you havent seen it check out the webpage. Note: I will rarely update the handbook as I have to work around getting a .pdf (dont have adobe so I publish it to my bookstore on lulu which converts to pdf).

Omni is about 35% of the way to the winning 200k for Season 10...any challengers? Season 11 changes are almost done...I'll make an announcement in a week or so, both here/email list/mektek.

I'm trying out the Joker occupation for balancing sake (which is why the change to the class recently as was underpowered). Yesterday I won both the regular lotto (that had rolled over 4 times because no one had won it) for 1000 pts (x10 from Joker ability) and the mega lotto for 10000 pts (x10 from joker ability). The mega lotto requires 3 or 4 #'s to win - yesterday it was 257. Now, how in the world did I know to guess 257? Mega lotto is the following formula - tonnage+deaths. I was piloting a Brigand at 25 tons, I typed -mystats to see how many times I had died which was 7. I admit my knowledge as to how mega works was an unfair advantage. I will throw it out (although it was great to be at 141680 for a moment - my conscience ate at me though Smile

Now mega is still very tough to get. Both the winning mega lotto # message and the play mega lotto messsage only come up on streak deaths (3 or more consecutive deaths of a player). And, if it is someone else, you probably don't know their tonnage or their deaths so almost impossible to guess a 3 digit (or 4 digit if tonnage is 100) # just like a real lotto.

Now that mega has been deciphered, any future mega lotto's are valid.

following changes for the Casino Mogul Occupation are effective immediately (for game play 7/10/11):

They need to type -casinomogul before or after they play one of the casino games (blackjack, poker, card), but before another player challenges them or they play against katie (-ai). If they win they receive 1d10x100 Rank Points (roll -1d10). -casinomogul is still only usable 3x/day.

Casino Moguls also receive 10 Rank Points for every game they play throughout the day (-card, -blackjack, -poker AND -spin) whether they win or not. The purpose behind this is to have an Occupation that is useful the entire day both lobby and on a map but raising only 10 pts per command (outside of -casinomogul) shouldn't make it overpowered (inherent ability)>

I am also going (least the plan is) to put an Updated message when an Occupation experiences changes and the date on the Occupation webpage itself (started today with Casino Mogul).

EDIT: Casino Moguls earn 10 Rank Points for EVERY casino game played throughout the day. If there are multiple Casino Moguls then each receives all...

-duel has gotten a change that I think will cause it to be used more. There is now no longer any penalty for losing, but if you win a duel you earn 100 Rank Points, and of course there is the category. Havent looked hard at the rules of it in awhile, but I think all that one has to do is type -duel and first to type -accept are dueling...

Also, I'm considering changing Marked. It may be for season 11, that if someone is Marked the first player to type -marked gets credit, but we'll see...

Sounds good; btw, sorry for forgetting to type -patron yesterday, I am too use to playing Solaris without typing anything besides -solaris... Sad

I will be more vigilant about it from here on out.

Also, I was wondering about adding a percent chance on the Planetary thing, since it is automatic. Since Planetary is usually played under the same ranking messages as criticals, and since crits don't always automatically happen, perhaps making Planetary results random as well.

You could also put a big 5000 point (or highter) rank point bonus to whoever wins games like Planetary and/or Solaris, to encourage game play, and also since there's a lot of time and effort that go into trying to win either of these games.

Just some suggestions. Smile

yeah, I'm sorry stuff happens. I think this is only the 3rd time ever since I've ran Theme Park...in total about a year...so 3 times in a year comes out to less than once every 3 months.

I'm trying to think of a way to make it up and be fair at the same time. I was thinking that if you tell me your Occupation then I will give everyone that responds the minimum amount of Rank Points their Occupation can give (or the maximum) and if it relates to Solaris or Planetary to give a victory in those.

Or, I can just double today's Rank points, but that sucks if you can't play today. Maybe a free Store Purchase or couple?

ok, have some good news...I don't have the log.txt, but I do have the chat.txt. Which means everything you typed...so I won't be able to see the result of what you typed but I can see what you typed. So, what I am gonna do is give you whatever Rank Points you were due (including Solaris) if you won whatever it was you typed. Of course, things like the Wraith bot I wouldn't be able to see. I'll start now...

rankings updated...

Here are the discrepencies/grey areas (since was using chat.txt instead of log.txt which was accidently deleted):

-Coolant bet twice, assumed 1000 bets, so 2000 Rank Points
-Highlander the only one that typed -lotto so he won 200 Rank Points
-Omnicide typed -planetary 3 times so put a win on 3 random planets (still no win on one of the dual-planets)
-Solaris wins I gave to everyone (except me cause I was there when I lost). So, if you typed -solaris you won. 6 victories to Omni, 2 to Highlander, 1 to Tactical
-level was 3 for Omni and 3 for Coolant cause that's how many times each was typed by those players. Didn't see any other -level
-Online was only Tactical and MWHighlander, but I have no idea how long both were on since that is displayed in log.txt not chat.txt so I gave both of them 1 hour for 20 Rank Points
-Casinomogul was used 3 times by Coolant, but I have no idea what the 1d10 multiplier was so I just took the average of 5 = 450 Rank Points + 90 extra points for every casino game played during the day = total 540 Rank Points
-patron I didn't see used, but giving Omni credit for 6 Solaris wins = 600 Rank Points
-salvage was only typed by Omnicide and since I couldn't tell whether Salvage Ops was go I gave it to him for 100 Rank Points (and he now has the Category bonus)

I did the best I could with what I had (chat.txt). I'll be more careful from now on and thank you playing in Theme Park Smile

How about for one day (make an announcement here and on the other forums) pre-select one day where every player with an occupation can earn double their occupational rank points? So if you played Knight and scored 8000 rank points, you'd get 16,000 instead.

Again, this will encourage the use of occupations while at the same time giving everyone a chance to make up some lost rank points.

My 2¢ worth... Cool

If not, I'll go with whatever Coolio decides.
