Let's keep the momentum going for TPL (Theme Park League). I'm pretty sure I will NOT be there Friday, however, if there are at least 6 with Occupations in the server, just one of you type -invitational and it will be a league match. As long as Bob is on one team and Omni on the other that will determine the teams.

Thanks to Bob, there are 2 new stats that are tracked by the server: Total # of players that played in the server day by day and Total # of commands used day by day. The new stats are on the homepage. Bob, if you can think of anything else that can be tracked let me know and I'll also put on homepage.

I put two or three of the off season ranking messages into planetary, but I think they may have gotten lost in the shuffle. No biggie, though. I think Kobol will just slowly take all the planets without much of a fight from the rest of us.
On a side note, I think I'm crashing so often either because I have an ancient video card (Geforce 2 MX/MX 400 AGP4x, that is what Speccy says,) or because I'm east coast and you're west coast and somewhere in the lag my antiquated system gets confused. I've reinstalled MW4 three times in the past two months and I always defrag before and then defrag after all the maps are installed. (A contiguous, folder specific defrag. I have a program that allows me to do that.)
I looked up my motherboard specs and cross referenced it with what is available on eBay and found that I can install a better card.. (although, I only have an AGP4x slot.. which means my upgrade possibilities are either a GeForce4 Ti 4600 or a Radeon X1050, which are both about $50,) I just have to scrap enough metal to afford it. (With all the rain and cold here it has become a little difficult to do the whole scrapping thing. I don't have a truck, I have a convertible. To scrap thirty bucks worth of steel/iron I have to put the top down in my convertible and toss everything into the back seat.)

Maybe I'm confused on the -politician works, but I thought that you started checking for -bets after -politician is typed. I did a -bet10 after one of Wyrm's -politicians to cancel it out:

Also, not to be too much of a rules lawyer, but I've lost bets because of this myself.... don't we have to wait for the Katie bet message after our -bet for the kill to count?

The way the -politician command works is like this:
Let's say BobRoss does -bet1000 and destroys Omnicide then Bob wins the bet. Let's say 30 minutes later (and no one else has made a bet in that time) Wyrmsfire types -politician. This effectively transfers 25% of the winning bet (250 pts in this case) to Wyrmsfire and then completely erases Bob's bet. So in other words, -politician chronologically tracks down the last bet won at any time previous to typing -politician, steals 25% of the points, and then erases the bet.
It's evil, I should know...
So those of you gambling have to pray that it's not one of your winning bets getting wiped clean by the -politician command later in that same day.
The key word here is before and not after.

In my opinion, this is the reason that politician is overpowered. You can't counter it. By doing it "after" politician has been typed, you can at least do something like -bet10 to negate the politician. |

I often thought the same while I was playing the Politician in Season 1.
The same could also be said about the chronological point-stealing abilities of Mechanic and Strategist, but those involve fewer opportunities than that of the Politician's bet-stealing/canceling ability.
However, if you think about it, Politicians can't cancel or steal bets if no one makes them. So if you rely more on your occupational abilities (and other non-bet related abilities in the rank-point system), then you are pretty much hosing Politician's bread-and-butter money-maker.
Betting is a quick and powerful way to earn rank points in the Theme Park server; perhaps Coolant wittingly (or unwittingly) put this checks-and-balances occupation in here for a reason.
But yea, it sucks having a successful 2000-point bet erased...
It would be nice if we still got to keep the bet winnings after the -politician command.

I search for -planetary everyday I do the logs. I don't ever remember seeing -planetary for you, but I might of skipped it because it didn't make sense at the time. Some players have gotten confused the BA Tonnage bonus for working for planetary...it only works if you are 20 tons or under and apply to planetary
As far as getting kicked, I always see the message Run Time Out. That message displays when someone has lost the connection to the server for a period of time, not sure how long. It isn't an installation error as far as I know, so your install should be fine, but it might be that you are on the East Coast and something occasionally lags you out.

Omni is correct...this has been the case, as far as I know, since Season 1. Bets get erased chronologically...1st bet of the day gets erased by -politician. It used to be I would just erase the 1st 3 bets and if that was the same player that 3 of his/her bets would be erased. Now I start with the first bet and then the 2nd -politician is the next person and so forth. This has also been in the rules for a long time. It doesn't cancel lost bets or bets with no resolution in the first 30 seconds. This also has always been the way I have done it since Season 1.

You are correct about the rule and I followed it...i looked past the kill to the next, and Wyrm still got the kill within the time frame on another player.
