Please buy all the Units for the Resources you want in Planetary once per day...plan it out...or at least limit the # of times you add Units. I don't mind if you buy some and realize you didn't add enough, and do it a second time. Also, please add Units in increments of 10's or 100's, not 5's. Remember, that I do it this in my head/calculator for all the Rankings and adding 10's or 100's is a lot easier than a bunch of 5's.

I am awarding Painhawg 200 Rank Points because I have kept him from earning any Rank Points because he hasn't played Planetary, but turns out he didn't have any Rank Points to buy Units with so to make it up I'm awarding him those.

Although there are still players that are not buying Planetary Units and not earning Rank Points, I still honor any of their Occupational abilities that erase Rank Sets to make my job easier (e.g. -chaotic).

Didn't I get a successful Assassin yesterday? I had 9 kills and punched it in at the last 30 sec or so of a match on Arena Egypt.

oops your right. I hadn't added -assassin to the command words I normally look for in my routine. It's been added and I'll get that up on the website...

If you need to leave a game and join the other team to balance them, type -coolant on one line and the reason on the next so I won't penalize you. Website About Rankings updated...

Of course players who don't play Planetary won't have a chance at getting the daily Category Bonus of 1000 rank points.
Speaking of Category Bonuses, can we have one for Penalty?

Oh, I guess I'll be back tomorrow. When I'm given ultimatums, even ones that aren't specifically directed at me, I usually refuse to capitulate. I still love y'all and appreciate the hard work that Coolant has put into the server. I'm just that kind of person. It has surprised a few people in the past. "You've got to (insert anything here) or (insert something bad)!" I choose (insert something bad) 95% of the time.
It all stemmed from me using two ranking messages for planetary in the last intermission that weren't counted. (It was probably my fault. I mistakenly tried to planetary a battle armor message before I got two actual messages and I assume that they were passed over.) So I shrugged it off and decided not to play planetary. It wasn't a big deal to me. Then planetary was required... but I already decided not to do it. So, I've been hanging out in PT Sunder with mini me's drunk ass. Hah.. he's pretty fun.. although I can barely hear anything over there with their ancient TS2 coms. Its like talking on walkie talkies.
Again, I would like to reiterate that my absence was not out of malice. I still love all of you. I'm just a hardcore nonconformist (kinda like the goth kids on South Park.)
ON A SIDE NOTE:
I think that the daily category bonuses are a bit too big. I do understand that being the best at something deserves a reward, but there is a huge disparity with the amount of points that can be earned under normal circumstances and what is earned through the daily bonus.

I decided against running Planetary during an intermission because I want to take a break from looking at the logs. Sorry if I didn't made it too clear. The Planetary website has been updated since to reflect this and is my plan going forward.
As far as the Category bonus being too large, it is part of my master diabolical plan to finish seasons quick. I have all these ideas in my mind but let them collect until the next season and I about explode wanting to release them early but realize that it would affect players strategy if I try and change everything all the time. This is also the reason why I allow betting...
Good to have you back, and yes TS3 is MUCH better. I prolly won't be on much today and tommorrow since the wife is off and also Thanksgiving, but Wed and the weekend its on

Gonna award Kobol 100 Rank Points for Mechanic (-engineer). He knew to set his preferred mech with -engineer, but it wasn't clear for him (cause he asked me on comms late in the day) that he had to type -engineer every time after receiving a ranking message for the 2x bonus. He got 3 messages, so I think it's fair that 1/3 he was possible piloting his preferred mech.

Bozobub typed 4 -assassin at the end of a game like he was supposed to and was correct tonnage. I don't have a problem with this. I envisioned it was once each game but nothing on the Occupation page indicates that so going forward if you want to type -assassin up to 4 times at the end of one game go ahead....

Congrats to Corsair, Omnicide, Wyrmsfire and Kobol for participating yesterday in the D&D Theme, by surviving the ancient Keep and coming out with a hoarde of treasure!
Some notes for the next D&D Theme:
-You can't "die", but you can erase treasure already received by "dying"
-Random and Planned Encounters should now provide the opportunity for treasure also. Please remember that you will need to roll your d20 combat rolls and use your special commands B4 rolling for treasure.
Yesterday, there were players that rolled d10 for treasure because they trained their eyes to look for the >>>d10x10gp<<< or some such message, and yet there was a trap or encounter that had to be passed first before rolling for treasure. You need to read the whole thing otherwise I just ignore the treasure roll.
-A party is all players with classes in their pilot name for the WHOLE DAY. It's too difficult to go game by game.
-Remember, d20 is for combat and d10 is for treasure. MANY times players rolled d10 for their to-hit rolls. There are a few times when using special commands that a d10 is used in combat (like the fighter -wield? command). But ONLY after using a special command. Please read the sentences.
-I know it's difficult to read everything in time, so if you skip a message and don't type anything it's ok, you no longer die so you just might miss out on an opportunity to roll for treasure.
-For next Thursday I'm adding a few things to make the chat easier to read.
