Are you tired of hitting a key to bring up the chatpad and then manually typing out a job ability or other command while you are under fire? Did you just get a ranking message and stopped to do a quick -d20, but ended up dying because of it? Fear not, fellow Mechwarriors. I have a program that will make your life much easier, and probably longer.
Get Macro Express. I am running v3.5.5.1 and this thing works like a dream. I can open a chat window, type in my command and hit enter, all with the stroke of one key. (If you can't seem to find it on your own, private message me and I will send you a link.)
Once you have Macro Express installed click on the Macro Explorer button on the left side.
Double click in a free space on the main window where it lists the macros.
Choose to make a new macro.
Select an activation "hot key." (I chose number pad /, number pad *, and number pad -.)
Click to go to the Direct Editor. Click in the blank space and type out what you would normally type in Coolant's server. (That is, if your chat activation key is "y" and you want to type in a d20 command, type in y-d20(enter).)
Click on the Properties tab and name your macro.
Click on Macro Explorer and it should be listed there. Double click on a blank space to create another macro.
Now you can d20 after a ranking message and never miss a beat of the action.

I have five keys setup.
Numpad / is "y-centurion(enter)"
Numpad * is "y-level(enter)"
Numpad - is "y-d20(enter)"
Numpad + is "y-bet1000(enter)"
Numpad 9 is "y-salvage(enter)"
This will make job abilities and server commands so much easier to do on the fly.
