Starting Season 6 we will have Moderators in the server. Moderators are Occupational Players that volunteer to help out others with questions about the Theme Park Server, Leagues, Occupations, commands, and the Ranking System.
To be a Moderator all you have to do is join the server with the pilot name Moderator (no faction). Play normally, but read chat in case there is any questions. You don't have to mediate any disputes, be a ref, or a hall-monitor (actually I don't want you to). Just be available for questions and answer with a smile  Send me an email the day you are a Moderator and let me know who you are so I can credit you.
Now the good stuff:
Moderators earn Rank Points, Solaris and Planetary. They receive 2x the daily average of all those that a player earned during Season 5 and there is even a minimum of 1000 Rank Points, 1 Solaris and 10 Factory Units even if you didn't earn any (but had an Occupation). For example, if I had earned 10000 Rank Points in Season 5 and there was 10 days in Season 5 I would earn 1000x2=2000 Rank Points for the day I chose to be a Moderator. You can still play, but the Ranking System will only be for you to show others how it works. If you earned an average of 5 Solaris wins a day over Season 5 you will earn 10 the day you are a Moderator etc.
The amount of time you donate is up to you, but I would like to have a Moderator in the server all the time it is up (1230E/0930P - 0200E/2300P). Please respond to this thread if you think you will participate.

Sorry, I'm still a little unclear on the Moderator rules as to whether or not they can still participate in the Theme Park Ranking system while still being a Moderator.

they cannot earn Rank Points except for the amount they get for being a moderator - still 2x what you got on average daily in Season 5. THey can still use the commands but they won't be counted....

Moderators are almost like an Occupation in themselves. They earn 100 Rank Points for each kill and lose 100 Rank Points for each Death. Type -moderator at the end of a game. Can be used as many games as you want however, they do not level.
Effective for Season 6

I like Omnicide's suggestion:
Put (Mod) in your normal pilot name like - Coolant (Mod) and then in the Faction put, "Theme Park Moderator"
This way, in the logs, will be much easier to track...

New Moderator rules from website (About Rankings - 12/19/10):
Moderators join the server with (Mod) instead of an Occupation. They can play normally but are there to answer questions about the Ranking System, Occupations, Commands etc. Moderators have something like an Occupation in that they earn 100 Rank Points per kill but also lose 100 Rank Points per Death (type -moderator during the game as often as you like and take the best K/D ratio). Moderators cannot gain levels but they can use -moderator every game they play. They also cannot use any other method of the Ranking System. All that is required to be a Moderator is to had an Occupation in the past and be very familiar with the server.
