To participate in Theme Park League Play do the following:
If you are adding a team type -addteam in the server and then on a separate line the first 3 letters of your team name.
To create a team it only requires 1 player, however a match requires at least 3 (or more).
This 3-letter name will represent your team on the website. You can promote the full name of your team in the faction
location in Mercs. Any player can join your team by putting the 3-letter name in front of their pilot name in all CAPS,
and the 3-letter abbreviation for the chosen Occupation at the end of the pilot name in parenthesis.
For example, if my team was Snoopies and my Occupation is Strategist, I would type -addteam and then on a separate line
would type SNO, so my finished pilot name would look like SNO Coolant (Str).
You may have to shorten your pilot name as there is finite room for letters.
Rules:
Each match is just 1 map of 15 minutes and can be any map except ArenaEgypt, Rubblepile, Slobberknocker or VOSChalkdust.
A match can be between 2 teams of 3 to 11 players.
To start a league match all players with Occupations that want to be involved in the match type -leaguegame
in the Theme Park Server within the first 60 seconds of a match. Remember, that only players with Occupations
and a 3-letter team name may participate. The server does NOT need to be restarted and can have players without Occupations
in it although they will not be a part of the match, but they may play normally.
If players with Occupations do not want to participate in the match they simply do not type -leaguegame. -leaguegame declares
that a map is a match as long as at least 3 players from 2 different teams (can be more) type -leaguegame.
A -leaguegame uses the all aspects of the regular Ranking System to determine the winning team with the exceptions below.
Occupational players with a team name may also declare an open game as a regular Team Battle game won by points (not Rank
Points or kills).
At least 3 players from 2 teams (can be more) must type -traditionalgame within the first 60 seconds of a map.
Once the map is over, at least one player from each team must add up the total points of his/her team and then type
-reportscores in the server and on a separate line the total. Each reporting player's total must match the other team,
otherwise the match is forfeit.
You cannot change Occupations once the map starts.
A tie goes to the attacker (first player/team to type -leaguegame or -traditionalgame).
Rank Points for other Occupational players in the server not participating in the match are disabled.
The map may never be Battle Bowl (Power Point) Theme.
You can leave and rejoin during a match.
You can swap out mechs during a match.
Each team may have duplicate mechs as well as Occupations.
Special Ranking System rules for League Play:
-award is NOT valid in League Play.
-level is NOT valid in League Play.
Ranking Points earned or lost in a match do NOT count toward an individual's ranking.
All Inherent and Special Abilities usage (number of times an ability can be used) resets before a match. Daily log and match logs are different.
The player with the highest total in a category wins that category. If 2 or more players are tied for the same category then no one wins that
category. However, if 2 or more players have the highest total on the same team but are tied the team still receives that category bonus.
Once a match has started it is official and cannot be stopped.
