You do not have to uninstall 3.02b....this is completely separate

Hey all, hows it going? long time 
I am trying to get my game running again, just to check out the new stuff that is going on. Dont know if i will actually start playing or not....
Is there a way that i can get this MP3.1 seperatly without having to download the entire free release? |

Hey Max
One of the biggest differences between the old patches like 3.02b and the Free Release is that it is a total rewrite of the code (yes, they have the code). The old patches where "hacks" of the original code that Mektek did not have access to, so they worked around it the best they could.
So, no there is no way to patch up your 3.02b install to the Free Release. The following link will provide many avenues to get the Free Release and all updates (there have been 4 now).

My suggestion would be to get the MTX Client Download (~15MB), install it, run it, and it should automatically install mw4: mercs and patches for you. Try that first. Give it time, it may not seem to be doing anything and it might be slow. I would just let it go overnight. Once MTX is up and running you will see 2 games available to install, MW4:Mercs and AT1. Right-click on MW4 and select install and that should be it. Be forewarned that the install is 1.77GB (includes lots of maps).
Some of the new features:
-Widescreen support
-Long Tom Range Indicator
-HUD pie clock for time remaining in game as well as real-time clock
-(NEW) Save As button in Mechlab (from latest patch just yesterday). This feature allows you to make a change to an existing variant, call it something else and retain the original while saving your new variant - no longer have to create a new variant.
-Lots of bug fixes including less lag and 24 player server stability
Hit us up on TS3 if you need help. I'll be on tonight from 3pm-10pm Pacific. 24.23.185.45 Port 9987, no password needed. Note: TS2 cannot access TS3 servers, you'll need to download TS3 (better sound quality and tons of new features including chat with fonts and color).
